The Focused Inquiry program affords students who have completed UNIV 111 and 112 the unique opportunity of becoming teaching assistants in the classroom. Selected students are paired with their old instructors and are instrumental in helping guide the study and work habits of students enrolled in the 111 and 112 classes that follow them.
UNIV 250 provides students with an introduction to teaching strategies and practices. Students work closely with FI faculty to learn the challenges and rewards of teaching.
UNIV 350 is a leadership course. Students learn, in a hands-on environment, the challenges of defining a mission, setting short-term and long-term goals, and providing effective stewardship.
