The University College is seeking peer mentors to participate in the RAMS CONNECT program for the 2014-15 academic year. Peer mentors will contribute to the VCU first year student’s academic success and educational planning by helping them understand their major and general education requirements and encouraging them to utilize appropriate campus resources.
During Fall 2014 semester, selected peer mentors are required to register and attend a 1-credit hour UNIV 391 Special Topics in Academic Peer Mentoring course, which meets. Required qualifications include a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and completion of 24-30 earned credit hours at VCU. Preference will be given to students who wish to advise within their own majors.
